August Magazine Article
August magazine article released
This year, our three themes are using the abundance of nature, avoiding waste, and using local sources. Do come and join us. Make a delicious lunch from our food stalls; stock up on fresh produce grown in Capel vegetable gardens; fill your store-cupboard with homemade preserves, jams and chutneys; quench your thirst with Ringden apple and fruit juices.. Children can enjoy special activities, crafts and quizzes, Get a taste of freecycling: bring along objects you no longer want, and in exchange, take away something you need. Learn about raising chickens, composting, energy-saving and the aims of the Dorking Transition Town movement. Buy excellent fair-trade craft items, many made from recycled materials. Be sure to tell us on our grafitti wall what you would like to see happening in our programme over the coming year.
To encourage participation, we are offering
